Can I bring my pet to Heritage Santa?

We love animals, too! We know they're family, and we understand why you'd want them in your Christmas photographs.

However, pets cannot join our regular indoor sessions at Drummond Manor.

Why aren't pets allowed inside?

Drummond Manor is more than a beautiful heritage home. It's also a working event venue with an active commercial kitchen.

Ontario's food safety regulations restrict animals in areas where food is prepared, handled, or served. Because the Manor operates a commercial kitchen and we offer seasonal refreshments during our sessions, we maintain a pet-free indoor photography environment.

Service animals are welcome in accordance with Ontario accessibility laws.

But what about Christmas photos with my dog?

We may still be able to make something work!

Outdoor portraits with your own Santa

If you'd like your pet included in your Christmas photographs, we may be able to arrange a separate outdoor session at the Manor through our Bring Your Own Santa experience.

For everyone's comfort, we ask that your pet already knows and feels comfortable with the person playing Santa. Outdoor pet sessions must be arranged in advance and are subject to venue approval, weather conditions, and your pet's temperament.

Pets cannot enter the Manor during these sessions.

Christmas portraits at your home

For pets who would be happier in familiar surroundings, we can also discuss a private, in-home Christmas portrait session.

Whether it's your dog, cat, or another beloved companion, we can explore a photography experience that works around your pet instead of asking your pet to adapt to an unfamiliar environment.

In-home sessions are separate from our regular Heritage Santa packages, with availability and pricing provided upon request.

Another wonderful option: LadyBird Animal Sanctuary

Our friends at LadyBird Animal Sanctuary host their own Pet Pics with Father Christmas fundraiser in Hamilton.

It's a lovely opportunity to get a festive portrait of your pet while supporting animals in need.

Their 2026 event takes place November 14 and 15 at Clifford Brewing Co. in Hamilton.

Heritage Santa is proud to support local organizations doing important work, including LadyBird Animal Sanctuary, Hamilton/Burlington SPCA, and TEAD Therapeutic Riding Centre.

A portion of our proceeds helps support these organizations and the animals and people they serve.
